ADF for faxing is poor

Comments about Brother MFCJ6910DW Color Inkjet Multifunction Machine:
When we purchased this machine on Aug. 2011 we used it mainly for printing and scanning. These features work very well. When our old fax machine died in Jan. 2012, we began to make use of the fax features. However, the ADF faults with the fax feature as it tries to handle the paper too fast and most times, the paper gets stuck, wrinkles up and causes jamming. Brother Tech Support is useless. They have me use the Copy feature to test the ADF but when I explain the ADF works slower for copying than for scanning, my comments are ignored. Bottom line, I've yet to really find a true All-In-One machine that works well for all features...

a [$] printer does better print quality!
By ngc2359

Installed easily but when I printed a color brochure - one that is not expected to be high quality but my HP printer does a fine job on, the print quality was terrible. Light, grainy, colors were washed out and there was banding. This was in "NORMAL" mode. I selected BEST and the print quality got marginally better - but still nowhere near as good as the HP. AND it is slower than the HP (even though its suppose to be 35ppm). The HP is an older 7780 which I HATE because of its constant adjusting itself - but its been reliable otherwise and I'd never be able to complain about its print quality. This Brother is incredibly bad for the money. I contacted support assuming I'm doing something wrong - nope! Latest drivers installed, nothing else I can do... it is what it is... returning the printer. The only thing I can assume with the other comments is they've not seen better quality to compare. Not criticizing - just can't understand how this could ever be considered anything but mediocre.

Bought this printer for the office

We have only run HP Printers in the office and we were having alot of issues with HP printers and were fed up with them looked at quite a few printers saw a demo on this liked the way it was built and how solid it felt (and it is not light to pick up) Was easy to hook up running in minutes and is very quiet you do not even know when somebody sends something to the printer. I like the fact it has (2) paper trays we fill the top one with envelopes and the bottom with paper now we do not have to tend to the printer. As long as Brother keeps up the quality of these printers they will have a repeat customer. - Side note the last all in one printer we got from HP gave us fits right from the start. So this Brother has already showed it up.
